We just purchased a 1996 3258 Avanti Command Bridge. She has rebuilt engines and outdrives. We are looking to add a generator, AC, electronics and windlass before next years boating season. We also plan to add a aft deck hard-top. The boat is kept in Massachutes and we plan to spend two weekends a month there during the '05 boating season. Looking forward to discovering New England cruising! We also own a 1997 Bayliner 2858 Command Bridge. I have been boating my entire life, especially since I grew up in Hawaii. We live on a 150 mile shorline lake North of Houston, TX. We keep our boat docked at our home but we also trailer her to the Gulf and have gone as far as San Francisco. Next summer we plan to trail her to Seattle for a cruise to the San Juan Islands. Our 2858 is equipped with a 5.0 KW Kohler gen, A/C and windlass. We plan to add new electronics and a aft deck hard top. We also havea sailboat and a Jetboat. I am overseas on assignment right now but I look forward to returning home in Jan. 2005 to go boating on the Gulf Coast of Texas.
